UPCOMING LIBRARY SOCIETY MEETINGS

Library Society meets once a month at 7pm, alternating between both of our Explorium Brewpub locations.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 19 · THIRD WARD

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17 · GREENDALE

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 21 · THIRD WARD

Over the last seven years, the Explorium has rolled out almost 30 iterations of the gold medal winning Milwaukee County Stout. We’ve also released dozens more barrel-aged beers during that time. For the sake of posterity, a small percentage of these beers are set aside in a section of the cooler affectionately nicknamed the Library. When competitions crop up or a beer fest is seeking something unique as a VIP pour, we dip into these reserves.

As we roll into Explorium Year Eight, it feels like the right time to focus on “self-improvement.” You are cordially invited to join the Explorium “Book Club.” What does this mean? Well, besides the judicious application of scare quotes, it means that it’s time to check “books” out of the Library.

We’ll spend a few hours educating ourselves and discussing the themes, merits, and “authorial intent” of these reserve beers as they get literally and metaphorically dusted off. No homework or Library card required to join in the “conversation.”  Think of it like a bottle share, but we’re supplying all the bottles.
