WELCOME TO OUR PASSION
With a shared passion for hospitality, Mike and Joan Doble founded The Explorium Brewpub in 2016. Mike, a world traveler raised in a military family, and Joan, a proud Milwaukee native, combined their unique backgrounds to create something special. In 2014, they ventured to Florida to help with the family brewpub business in Tampa, gaining invaluable experience. By late 2015, they returned to Wisconsin, ready to build their own brewpub, blending the best of their experiences. With the support of family and partners, their dream became a reality.
Why "The Explorium"? We believe humans are born with an innate curiosity to learn and explore. Visionaries like Livingstone, Shackleton, and Earhart inspire us—imagine them gathered around a fire, raising a glass, and sharing tales of discovery. These bold explorers from different lands and eras remind us to embrace new adventures, meet new people, and savor new flavors.
